farmers wife progress

I finally have all my blocks finished and am now working on putting the quilt top together.  It has been almost 3 years since I started, so this is kind of exciting to see an end in sight!  I absolutely loved making each block, and in a way I'm also a bit sad to be almost done.   So really it is kind of bitter sweet for me.

Here are a few of the last ones I made to finish all my blocks.

As of today I have half the sashing and corner stones stitched.  Just need to finish the other half and then add a border.  So close!!  Hopefully this week I can get the top done.

For the sashing I used Riley Blakes Swiss Dots in aqua.   The Swiss Dots are a favorite of mine right now.  I used the red Swiss Dots as the background in my Cathedral Windows pillow.  :)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday!!

See you soon,

    1. The little sewing machine is a music box and I found it at Goodwill several months ago. Isn't it so lovely?

    3. Oh, thrift shopping is one of my weaknesses!! I agree, it is so fun to find those special treasures. :)

    4. It's definitely one of my weaknesses too! I always feel like I get my money's worth and it's almost always something I don't need and actually didn't even want until I saw it at the thrift store. Today I got a cute little ceramic teapot in the shape of a sewing table. The lid is a little black sewing machine. I've never seen anything like it before. The best part: it was half price day so I got it for $1.50! So much fun!
